Introduction.

In November 2003, Albert  and Lisa Stroeve received a request from the Ghanaian Reverend Richard Essilfie-Awortwe for help to improve the alarming living conditions in the OOEIM orphanage.
Albert and Lisa had visited the orphanage a year earlier, through the mediation of Jan Doets,  station manager of  WAMCO  (West Africa Mills Co) at Takoradi.
In response to the request for support from The Netherlands, the Foundation Bebo Bakery was established in January 2004 in Zwolle. The founders of  Bebo Bakery consist of  a lawyer, an economist and specialists in bakeries and engineering.  
A working group was appointed for a fact finding mission and for the preparation of a business plan. The mission was carried out in February 2004 and its report written in March 2004.
